Rangers announce 2017/18 Charity partnership

Berwick Rangers can this evening confirm Berwick Animal Rescue Kennels, known locally as B.A.R.K, as the official charity partner of the club for the 2017/18 season.

B.A.R.K, who are based in Ramparts Business Park, provide temporary refuge for unwanted or stray domestic animals with the objective of re-homing them whenever possible. Like the ‘Gers, B.A.R.K operate both North and South of the Scottish Border.

The club are delighted to strengthen the relationship with B.A.R.K, which began at the start of the season when associate director Ian Beresford, who volunteers at the centre on a weekly basis,  donated his Under 20 shirt raffle prize to the charity.

Chairman Len Eyre presents Ian Beresford and his ex-B.A.R.K dog Ronnie with an Under 20s shirt.

Speaking to the official website about the announcement, B.A.R.K manager Jan Ross said “We are overwhelmed to be the nominated Charity of the club this season. Their support will make a real difference to the animals in our care, both now and in the future”.

Plans are in place to both organise and support numerous fundraising events throughout the season, starting this weekend by visiting the B.A.R.K kennels open day on Saturday. The kennels are open 12pm-3pm, ideal for a visit ahead of our clash v Cowdenbeath at Shielfield.
